The engineers and technicians of the SCYTEQ technology centre in contrast design and construct in the area of machines and systems engineering. Thereby the main focus of our services in turn is on sustainable profitability. The manufacture, installation and commissioning are based on the approved design. Using the digitisation, design and manufacturing processes derived from mechanical engineering, we also have been providing services for palaeontologists and archaeologists since 2008. We digitise non-contact artefacts and exhibits, reconstruct them and make faithful replicas of the same. Today, in this youngest discipline of ours, we are even an exclusive partner of renowned public institutions, universities and museums.

For immediate appointment in our company, we are looking for:

Design Engineer (m/w) Mechanical Engineering

Your profile: You have a sound technical education (masters, technicians, graduate engineers) in mechanical and plant engineering. You are a team player, flexible, communicative and already have some years of professional experience in 2D/3D design (CAD/CAE). Basic skills in technical English, knowledge of safe handling of MS Office products, flexibility and teamwork complete your profile.

Your tasks: As an employee you'll be serving our "Central Engineering" projects in development and designing of machine parts, fixtures and special machines. Thereby you will develop design proposals on the basis of performance and functional specifications and carry out the constructions after their approval. You will make sure that your designs will function later as required, and that they can be manufactured and assembled and that details and specific technical requirements relevant to maintenance and service have been considered. You will create technical documentation including parts lists, drawings and electronic records for the manufacturing, assembly, operation, maintenance and service. Ultimately, you will support our different departments like "technical sales", "project planning", "supply chain" and "technical field staff". 

Our technical expertise: For this very interesting, exciting, varied and challenging work, we will thoroughly train you in the CAD/CAE software used by us, will provide you with modern equipment and functionally integrate you as a full member in our work groups.

 

Design Engineer (m/w) Rapid Prototyping - digitising, reverse engineering, hybrid modelling, free-form construction

Your profile: You have a sound technical education (masters, technicians, graduate engineers) in the development and 3D design of technical products or consumer goods. You are a team player, flexible, communicative and already have some years of professional experience in 3D design (NX/UG, Pro Engineer, Solid Works, AutoCAD or Inventor). You are also already acquainted with digitisation technologies (coordinate measuring machines, optical scanners, laser scanners) and have already used highly specialised software solutions such as Tebis, Rapidform, Geomagic, Polyworks, Rhino, etc. Basic skills in technical English, knowledge of safe handling of MS Office products, flexibility and teamwork complete your profile. 

Your tasks: As an employee you will serve our "Central Engineering" projects in the development of technical products and consumer goods and in producing replicas of archaeological and paleontological artefacts and exhibits. In the process you will capture and digitise the objects on the basis of performance and functional specifications and subsequently perform the reconstruction. You will make sure that all requirements have been taken into account in the reconstructions. You will then convert the 3D data into the desired native and neutral formats and create the technical documentation. Ultimately, you will support our different departments like "technical sales", "project planning", "supply chain" and "technical field staff".
